Default ECU no power? New ignition and ECU Need a bit of help pls.

Hi, thanks in advance for any help anyone has.

2000 rx300- Car died on the road had it towed home. CEL does not illuminate at all. Ecu and ignition have been replaced again (it was recently replaced for other reasons so I suspected bad parts) anyhow I bought a code reader and as suspected it won’t even communicate with the car.

If anyone could point me in the right direction or have a diagram or pinout for the ECU so I know what am looking for. I suspect it is not getting power or ground somewhere.

I would be forever grateful for any other ideas anyone has.

Thanks again,

Cliff

Try to get hold of the circuit diagram and ensure 12v and ground [reference to the battery terminal] at the ECU and then 5v.

Depending on what was done before, you may like to go over engine ground strap.

update- I found a diagram and verified power/ground to ECU and also once again the rfid amplifier- Then in desperation I squeezed all the plugs in the area of the ECU in the passenger toe kick and bam. Back in business.

🤷‍♂️
