I have a 2000 RX. I just converted my headlights to OEM HIDs. As stated in earlier post, it is true that the auto leveling motor can not be installed.
This is what I bought:
•I purchased a 2001 lighting housing from the dealer. $490 each side.
•I purchased the ballast computer, auto leveling motor, computer assembly cover, cover gasket, auto leveling motor o-ring and ballast wiring harness, from eBay for $229.
•I purchased Phillips D2R 4300K bulbs from eBay, $32 each.
All the work was done by Lexus of Greenwich body shop. The HID do not simply plug in. Adapters had to be purchased for the wiring harness.

thanks for the input. Would you mind sharing how much the dealer charged for the work? I hate to be rude and ask such a question but I'm not exactly mechanically inclined and would want the dealer to do the work and I'd like to get a better idea of what my "all in" will run.
Thanks.

Honestly, I don't know. My car had its headlights stolen. The thief thought I had HID headlights. Since I had to replace my headlights, I took this opportunity to install HID. Replacing the parts and fixing the body damage, the bill was over $4000.
The work is fairly simple. You just need to order the right parts.
