Default 2000 RX300 - 6 CD box stuck in slot

Hello Folks,

It seems like I pushed the 6CD box in the slot while one of the CD was not fit correctly and now the box is stuck in the CD slot. When I try to exit it makes a little sound and it feels that the box comes out a few millimeters and then it stays stuck. Any ideas suggestions or pointers to get it out.

Regards
Ab

There is no elegant way but to force it. I would not go ape, but since it is stuck there is no other option. worst case would be to buy one from salvage yard that is if you really want to have a CD player.

PS: Incidentally Lexus was the first manufacturer to put a CD player and most likely would be the last to ditch it. I have thrown away my CD collection.

Never used the cassette player and rarely used the CD. I put in a Grom Bluetooth adapter years ago and that's all I use now.

Take the negative terminal off the battery and that just might reset it. It happen on my BMW and that was the fix.

I realize it would be labor intensive, but could you remove the CD player itself, remove the cover, and gain access to the magazine. That way nothing would be damaged and the CD player would most likely function normally afterwards.

If a CD tray has fully or partially loaded into the player mechanism, trying to remove it by force will destroy everything. If it won't come out, your best bet is removing the changer and carefully disassembling the outer case so that you can get at the CDs/trays.

I probably would probably first try smacking the changer a few times and retry. Hopefully the disk will just drop into place

Take it out of the car open it up. Replacing the staker would likely be a waste of money when cds get stuck anyway in everything. Most likely work fine once get it out.
