1999 Rx300.. does anybody have any suggestions
Hi I have a 99 RX 300 as mentioned above sorry this is so long but I wanted to put all the information I have out there so it could get diagnosed better. Originally I needed a new knock sensors it wouldn't get into overdrive so I replaced an sensors and lasted three weeks or so I live I don't need overdrive a lot because it's sort of in the country so I let it go for a little bit. So then when the time came that I wanted to replace them I figured since I'm opening up the motor I'm gonna replace the sensors the fuel injectors the spark plugs And everything like that as well now before I opened it up I was getting lean bank one P0171. So my friend who is Mechanic toward all apart put everything in and the sensor still didn't work since then we replaced the fuel pressure regulator in the tank we replace The air sensors we pretty much replaced everything we could think of and now we are getting rich bank one. So my mechanic took everything from bank one put it in bank two and switched everything around and we're still getting lean bank one and sensor problem is still there . Now before I replaced it I found out if I went reversed put it right and drive then I would be able to get overdrive which is weird I also drive with a little button to on the power mode I don't know if that's doing something different to it or not I don't even know if that switch could be bad and taking away my overdrive pretty much everything in the engine that I could swap out for new parts I did and I'm not buying cheap parts either anybody with any idea please let me know for too long and I need to move it .. thanks

Injectors on these cars almost never fail it's basically unheard of. Are you using genuine Toyota parts from a dealer? Not from Ebay, not from Amazon etc. those are all counterfeit.

Where did you buy them? If Amazon then you will never fix your problem because you are buying fake parts. Knock sensors not from a Toyota dealer will never work.

How do you know the original parts were not bad? Why would you replace parts that were not failing? I don't know what "all over the place" means exactly that is not a helpful answer.

All the parts old and new were checked prior and during use. Because it was a shot to open up the motor and to put all new in there. I bought them at different stores.

Assuming P0172 is the only code you are getting .. the next thing would be to share live data related to fuel and air.
This is not my area of expertise and being a closed loop system it becomes hard to diagnose as the ECU gets incorrect input and to compensate it tries to overcompensate and ends up in a corner reporting counter intuitive fails.
I am counting on fellow member(s) to guide you further or even suggest a link where you can get useful guidance.
