Hello,

I have a 2000 RX300 which now has a cracked driver side external rear view mirror. We were hit with a decent sized snow storm last weekend and I think somehow the extreme cold coupled with the heating element of the mirror may have cracked the glass.

Has anyone had any experience with this themselves? I'm wondering if it is a common problem. Unfortunately the vehicle just went over 50000 miles, so I'm out of the warranty. Any suggestions on the best way to get this fixed?

my sc400's driver side cracked because of the weather also... sux.

Check with parts dept at Lexus dealership. The broken mirror should be removable and the replacement should snap in. Its middle of the night and I do not have the manual nearby.
