"i have a RX300(2000) and am planning to change the tires soon. I did some research and came down to these 2 tires. I have read quite a few "thumbs up" reviews for Michelin CTs but was wondering if anyone did try out the Yokohama's. Thanks in advance."

I have had some friends who had them on their mitsu trucks. They loved them but still slide some. I think the x-terains are the best bet overall, but I am biased since I just put them on a few months back and are now in love with them and think all SUV's should have them. Wonderful in the snow..

I looked around also and went with the Yoko's because of price and my past experience.
So far they haven't had much exposure to the elements but are a great improvement over the Goodyears,
they ride a little harder but I expected that because of the sidewall construction.

I put Geos on my RX this summer... and absolutely HATE them... have had them back 3 times for balancing and they still vibrate. Ride is harsh, mileage down 1.5 mpg, and I want to get rid of them. Will probably try the Michelin CTs... listened to Tire Rack forums and am very disappointed.

Got Geos on my Rx since this summer. The ride is great and I love them. It handles quite well in the snow too. They are quite cheap when compared to Michellins and definetly compares to them in terms of ride and quality.

I purchased Cross Terrains last year, used them in ice, snow, dirt, dry roads, etc. and loved the traction. I purchased them at Costco in NJ and received an extra $50 rebate, so they didn't seem as expensive.

Not really. I quite enjoy the ride and balancing is good too. I got the wheels aligned when I changed the tires. Probably it helped. As far as the ride, I think it's lot better than what I used to have on Duellers. I have close to 8K on them already and no signs of wear and tear.

The difference coming home (about a a 45 minute trip, some on local roads, some on highways) was nothing short of remarkable. There is absolutely NO comparison, despite what you read on tirerack boards, between the Yokos and Michelins. Ride, handling, noise, vibration, are all markedly improved.
I'm only sorry that I spent 4.5 months with those crappy tires and am out a few hundred bucks. But my Lexus is back, bigtime!
