I agree! Often I try to get traffic reports from a 50k watt AM station that I'm 30 miles from and it seems power line noise in many places overcomes the signal all too easily. Worse with the clod? haven't really seen that yet, although I'll look for it this morning as it is now -0.3 deg (near Boston).

My AM is really pretty good here in NJ, compared to other cars I drive, though I just got a low-end JVC for the Honda and got AM stations further away than I believe I can get in the RX, still it is better than a couple other radios in cars I drive.
