Default Has anybody replaced struts yet?

I am needing to replace my struts on my 2001 AWD Rx. I have over 100k miles on it and I can start to feel a decline in the ride qaulity pretty good. I wonder if ther are any after market sets available yet?

Default struts

KYB makes a replacement set. Mine need to be replaced also, but I didn't decide which way to go. A toyota dealer quoted me $1400 to replace them with the stock struts. Tirerack has the KYB for about $90 a piece.

Thanks for the reply. I researched the struts today. You are correct in the fact that KYB is the main player in this set up. I ordered a set today from tirerack. $ 376.00 at my door for my 01 Rx300 awd. Much better than Lexus parts, and its the same part. KYB is the original supplier for the strust. I will install them next week and let you know the results.

I replaced my struts today. I ordered them through TireRack.com. Best prices I could find. The ride is alot better, I am not feeling every little ripple or bump in the road. I also replaced the front rotors, pads and rear pads. My baby is good for another 100 k now.

Default Struts

That's good news. I just did my pads and rotors last weekend. Also had a sticky caliper.

Hey guys, my friend just bought a 04 RX330, but I could not find the KYB struts you guys mentioned. Is that because they are not yet available for the 04 RX330?

Default 04 struts

It may be too early for the 04 aftermarket struts. Give tirerack a call, maybe they have more info.

Default stiff?

I'm looking for something stiffer. I know that Lexus made a sporty suspension for their RX300s one year that came with "euro tuned" suspension, stiffer struts and a strut bar. I would find the part number and see if KYB or someone makes those also. I'm thinking X5 stiff!
