awhile back I had posted about discoloration/oxidation of gold lettering packages. Regular metal polishes seemed to take the gold off when cleaning and I wondered if there was a better solution. I just discovered that products like LimeAway or CLR work wonders removing the crud that accumulates on gold lettering. Also worked well cleaning my cruddy looking license plate holder. Just thought I would add my experience as I see alot of people looking for new gold packages on ebay - save yourself some money and use LimeAway!
