Question Paint chip protection

Has anybody had the 3M Chip Guard film applied to the front bumper and hood?
How is it standing up to stone chips?
Has it discolored?
Any bubbles or peeling?
Would you recommend the use of it to protect the paint?

I had a 3M clear bra product installed the day after taking delivery about a year ago, and so far no paint chips or other deterioration of the product itself - it looks as it did on the day it was installed. Only covered the metal (not plastic parts) on the front end, and it extends roughly 5-6 inches up onto the hood. The faint line where it ends across the hood is the only evidence that it's there - it's practically invisible to the casual observer. It was about $130 installed and was well worth it, in my opinion.

I am trying to remove the protective film from my 2000 300rx. I don't know if it was from the factory or the dealer. At any rate after 19 years it was very scarred many cracks in film looked bad. Used a heat gun and this took the film off and part of the glue but a layer of glue still remains. I am trying to remove it with highly abrasive compound, goo gone and goof off but it is slow going by hand. I may try an orbital polisher tomorrow and see if that works. Has anyone ever gone through this before? Any good ideas? Thanks

That is not a factory option. It is customer request at the dealer before or after delivery.

I would suggest visit a detailer or even check with the dealer who they use for installing the kit.

Try denatured alcohol. Also a mix of Dawn and vinegar may work.

Try strait up gasoline or carb cleaner, small spot first.
