Question

When I turn my steering wheel, I could hear a cranking noise. When the music's up, it's not noticable, but when everything's off, you could hear a somewhat cranking noise when turning the wheel. Does anyone else have any problems with their steering wheel?

I hate to hear that you are having that problem with yoru RX. I have not experience that with my RX, but if I were I certainly would not stand for it. Before I had my RX I had a Yukon that had a bumping sound ( I could also feel it) in the drivline whenever I would accelerate from a stop. Apparently this a was a common defect among these vehicle. Well, the GM representative I talked to about it wouldn't buy the vechile back and said that I could just turn up the radio and wouldn't notice it. That pissed me off, it isn't a fix for a problem. Long story short, through a big process I got my money back and bought a Lexus!

Well, that story is somewhat related. I'm not saying do what I did...my problem was more severe and unfixable. I would just take it to the dealer and see what they have to say. I assume your RX is still under warranty - mileage wise that is, can't be over 4 years old already. I could be just something out of place under the steering wheel. Good luck.
