Default Ipod FM modulater poor reception

I've noticed that my RX300 has poor AM and FM reception. My 12 year old SC400 has better AM/FM reception.... could the poor reception quality of the RX300 have anything to do with the iPod FM module not working up to par?

I have a SIIG FM modulator for my laptop and it plays fine through the RX300 Premium Lexus Stereo.

i have not bought one yet. I'm trying to make a decision now.

if you were to use a wired one... i'm guessing that i would have to hard wire it? I would hate to have to hard wire it......

Default I can't tell the difference

I run my SIIG Audio Link wirelessly. I can't tell the difference b/w the radio and it. Its not CD quality, but for $10 who cares!

Seriously, there is NO magic bullet for hooking up an iPod in an RX without an AUX jack and expecting anything near CD quality - trust me - I've done my homework on this.

Wired solutions get you close to FM quality and wireless solutions get you close to 8-track quality - well maybe not an 8-track in good condition but more like one that has sat on the dash of a 72 Camaro for a couple of summers.

was the aux jack install a DIY? or did a shop do it for you??

Here is mine:

Looks like they have a new one:

I looked at many brands and lots of people complained the stereo seperation on other manufacturers is poor but some people have hacks by replacing caps.
