Check Engine Light On
Happy 4th!
Today while driving my 2000 RX300's Check Engine Light came on.
I have 53,000 miles, with the last 10,000 using a K&N Air Filter. SInce I have a K&N Air Filter I thought it was a MAF Sensor coated with oil.
Well I pulled the MAF it was bone dry and clean. All the pipes had no filter oil on them either. I cleaned the MAF anyway using 99% Alcohol and a Q-TIP.
I cleared the code by pulling the 13 Fuse to see if it will come back. I went to KRAGEN and they said they don't scan engine codes.
I remember on my old 91 Toyota MR2 you could go into the engine bay's DIAGNOSTIC PORT and using a paper clip connect the T1 and TE1 ports to activate a readout on the dash of which code was tripped. I can find no T1 port on the RX300 only a TE1. Is there anyway I can tell what the problem is without going to a LEXUS dealer (warranty just ran out).

gas cap
just got back from AutoZone, they let you check out a OBD-II scanner for free!
The codes were P0440 P0441 P0446. So I tightened the gas cap and all is well
"A loose or missing gas cap on a late-model Toyota often leads to a trouble-code hat trick of P0440, P0441 and P0446. Don't get carried away here because installing or tightening the gas cap usually takes care of all three codes."
"P0441
EVAP Emission Control System Improper Purge Flow"
