I just moved to a gated community. My remote control on the visor was previously programmed for my previous house garage door.

How do I program one of the button on my 2000 RX to operate the community security gate? I do have a loose remote that works if that helps.

The manual should show you how to program the buttons.

I think you hold the button you want to program in, .... then hold the loose remote up close to the visor and push the button on it in for at least 5 seconds. The RX buttons are supposed to be able to read the info from other remotes. If this does'nt work, I'll get my manual out and re-read it and get back to you. Let us know if it works.

If that doesn't work, your security gate may be using a "rolling code". In that case, check back for further guidance.
