Default interior feel with silver and black

since I screwed myself out of getting the 430 in the color combo I wanted last week I have to consider getting silver with black. I saw one on the lot yesterday but I dont know if I can deal with all that black inside as well as it being hot as hell relative to ecru. I am also partial to the birdseye maple wood that comes with the ecru. those of you with the silver/black combo please tell me what its like to live with long term mentally as well as temperature wise in the summer.

TIA

I have a 2004 Silver Metallic with black interior with the burled walnut and the wife and I love it. This is our second car with black leather and we do not notice much difference; we live in St. Louis and it does get hot in the summer. The front seats are cooled so the hot sun does not bother us when we are driving and they cool pretty quickly when starting out. We considered a lighter interior (ecru) but decided that it would probably show dirt/wear easier; we remain pleased with our decision.

I also have a silver with black interior 04 LS 430 and an Acura CL in silver and black and really like them. I find the hotest part of the interior is the wood steering wheel, even though I use a sun shade. My last car had a light gray leather interior, like the Lexus charcoal. After a few years it looked bad, between the crack marks and the ground in dirt. I use Lexol cleanor and protectant regularly and I couldn't wait to get rid of the lighter leather.

I specifically chose the black because i feel it is easier to maintain and will look better in the long run.

If you get the ecru, be prepared to spend hours cleaning it. No matter what you do it looks like hell most of the time after about 10k miles. Get the black. It looks better and the heat is not a problem. My 01 ultra luxury had the ecru and it was AWFUL. I now have a black interior and love it.
