Default A Click / Pop Noise

I have a 2000 RX300 with 28,000 miles on it. I recently started to notice that after I reverse out from a parking lot or drive way and then put it in "D" Drive, I hear a click or a pop noise about 100ft after it's been put in to drive. The sound seems to come out from the bottom of the car. Can anyone please tell me whats wrong and what should I do? Thanks Very Much.

Default click pop sound

I have a similar sound which I have interpereted as the pads shifting.

There is a tsb on the subject "BR003-00" titled "brake pad clicking noise".

This noise is noticed when applying the brakes or when the vehicle is changing direction.
The brake calipers need to be greased (see tsb for details), however, this application only lasts 6 months to 1 year...

This is a noted problem in 1990-2000 model year Lexus vehicles.

I suggest you check the Technical Service Info Bulletin area as this bulletin was issued on Oct 20, 2000.

cheers,

//Fern
