Default Finally - My first Lexus!!!

Bought my first Lexus on Saturday. Somehow went all out and got the ML/Navi with Rear Seat Entertainment. Had looked at Performance Package + Navi. But with a 16 month old son , I eventually reasoned that for about $800 more, he’d get more use out of the RSE than I would the air suspension. Got Silver with Light Gray Interior, 18” rims, Heated Seats/RS Wipers and more. It is absolutely gorgeous.

I must retract previous statements about at least one St. Louis dealer. My buying experience at Plaza Lexus was great. I talked with the Lexus Sales Manager directly. Don’t know how it normally works there but it worked great for me. The overall deal ended up being ~$1100 over invoice. That’s substantially better than Edmunds, Carsdirect etc. Plus they were very fair on my trade. I figured they would lowball my trade after quoting that price, but they did not. I can in good conscience wholeheartedly recommend Plaza Lexus. I can’t speak to St. Louis Lexus, but an e-mail sent to them last week remains unanswered. Their address begins with “wecare”. Obviously they don’t. St. Louis people, head to Plaza and ask for Jack Hisserich! I do not think you will be disappointed.

If there was any doubt we made the right choice in options, when we sat our son in the car seat and flipped on the DVD for the first time. His eyes lit up! Jaunts to the lake just got a lot easier.

The car is truly a luxury automobile.

Need to get some all weather mats. I didn’t ask for any at deal time. Maybe I left something on the table, maybe not. But I feel satisfied about the deal. Considering some of the comments here, that seems to be a good price for the ML/Navi with RSE. That is a combo not seen too often on the lots.

Awesome - although unlikely you get that here. Only 2 dealers in StL. Not enough competition. Always someone with a better deal it seems. I've read here they were going for invoice in CA at one point, though perhaps not with NAV.

Cool feature - RS Wipers. I went out for lunch today. Damn if it starts to rain lightly. Not realizing the wipers were set to Auto, they jumped up just as I went to switch them on. Pretty slick. I didn't think it would really work as well as it did.

Already got a coat of Meguiars NXT on it. I'd do Zaino, but I have to be able to see it to make sure it's all the way off.

Zanio is great, but that stuff takes forever to do. I live on town over from the inventor and factory. I am just going to use some normal wax, since it is white.

I've used Zanio and it is great stuff. I've changed to Rejex, IMO it's better and it's much easier to to use.

my brother likes that stuff also. Maybe I can give it a try. Is it ok to get on the black trim?

If you take the trade out of the equation
MSRP 47108
Price 41944
Invoice 40894

Also received all weather mats and all weather cargo liner.
One additional tank of gas besides the initial fill-up.

I know better deals can be had on the coasts, but I feel good about this based on other comments about local dealers and midwest pricing in general where the competition might not be as great. Plus I got one with Navi and RSE which is not exactly easy to come by. It was the only one on their lot.
