Update. Wife had put some miles on the RX. Light has NOT come back on. The last time the dealer reset it, it came on within the day. So I believe the cel is mileage based. It could be mph based also but I doubt it.

So it looks like the maf cleaning thing did the trick.

Oh and I'm looking into an OBDII scanner/data logger from Auterra

We have a Palm at home and these Palm/PC based units seem to have more features than the cheaper all in one units like the Actron types. I'm lurking ebay waiting for a decent deal.

BTW. Although my RX is a 2000 model, some of you might want to consider getting one that has CAN. This is going to be standard in cars starting in a few years. CAN versions can still read the obdII though. But it's more expensive.

Just another small update. No cel at all. So DEFINATELY the maf cleaning thing did the trick.

Haven't pulled the trigger on the obdII scanner yet though.
