Hi,
I'm trying to identify the fuse to pull in order to reset my RX300's transmission. Many have said it's the #13 yellow 20. I don't see #13. I do see one yellow 20 fuse marked "AM2." Is this the one to pull? Thanks.

I couldn't find the tranny in the manual, either. So I decided to look under the hood. Looked up the manual: AM2 is not it.
BTW, EFI is #14 in my manual. Apparently Lexus made some minor production change.
Anybody know which fuse?

If you are trying to reset all that memory so your car does not drive like a cow, you can pull the EFI, #13 fuse, which is yellow and is a 20 AMP. Mine is a 99 RX.
What I found works even better: pull the negative cable on your battery for just a few minutes. I have tried it for a few seconds, and there must still be some juice in the capacitors, so a few minutes should do the trick.

Thanks Lexmex. I just pulled the #14 EFI fuse earlier. Now the tranny is silky smooth and it's got a better pickup at mid-range. Hope I don't have to do this every week.

Reseting the ecu for the trani might be required on occasion as the car begins to "learn" your driving habits... on cellphone, in traffic, etc... might cause the trani to "think and act" more conservatively than aggresively.
Some say after a trani or main ECU reset you should drive "spirited" for the next few 100 miles to program the trani to this setting..
I had the same issue last week on my 540i after a check engine code appeared due to my K&N filter... I had never reset the ecu since I had the car and whaaaaaat a difference it made after the MAF cleaning and ecu reseting....
Going to do a MAF sensor cleaning on the Lexus this weekend.
Cheers,

Just for the hell of it I the neg cable off the battery to let the computer reset and DANG what a difference
I was getting 16.9mpg and now am now getting 19.7mpg. The tranny was shifting a bit sloppy sometimes in traffic I would get a jerk when hitting the gas but not anymore. Shifts are smooth and it accelerates alot better than before. Thanks for this tip
