Any hoo, I know my HID gives me good road coverage and it does not bother oncoming drivers. Like I said, I tested it by sitting in my other car. Also when I stop behind another car at traffic light, my HID top cut-off right under the car's trunk lid. So it's not shining into the cabin or side mirrors of the other car. It serves me no interest to annoy other drivers.

What is the difference between 9006 and 9005.. I just ordered and installed a set of 9006 led headlights (they had 9005 as well but they looked identical) and put them on both my high and lowbeams and they work fine. My next move will probably be to change the fog lights and that little yellow bulb in the top outer corner as soon as I can figure out how to access it. I assume i have to take the headlight assembly out? The leds took me 10 minutes and well worth the time.. the orange halogens just didn't do it for me anymore.

Can someone explain this a bit further? What measured difference will putting 9005 bulbs in the fogs have?

(My new '300 turns out to have HID lows, and for one reason or another i would have preferred the halogen assembly)

So how about Recommended light bulbs 2019 for HID models?

It's my understanding that the halogen low beams are projectors (9006) and the HIDs range d2r(same size as 9006) bulbs, and i should be replacing my HiD low beam lamps with xenon bulbs, right?

What if i put a d2c in my reflection assembly's low beams? I understand if it to be that d24 and d2s' differences are 1) the notch location and the bulb base) and 2) d2r bulbs have a shroud of sorts; a cover skiing along one part of the bulb.

D2c's were made with universal notches to fit d2s and d2r specs, but lack the covering on the xeon bulb. Will this produce a bad light pattern or possibly be blinding to oncoming traffic?

What do you find to be the best combination to color match a halogen or LED highbeam to a factory HID xenon lowbeam?

I understand that if run as DRLs (unmodified), then the DRL gets only 6v.

I know i could just go with some Philips 4500k (or is it 4300k?) And then Sylvania or close to factory issued HB3 (9005) bulbs for the high beams. But if I'm trying to achieve a colder color (5000-6000k) then what's the nicest combination you'd recommend? How important is it to stay at the stock number of watts?

dont get led they are brighter close up compare to hid but they dont go the distance as hid do. 5-6k is your best to get the white color. If you go higher it will start giving the blue color and does not light up the road as well.

Our 2001 RX (non HID), is all OEM. Wife is complaining about bulb output (she is used to driving HID ISC and RCF). Thus need to upgrade, either go to HID or LED. Need to start research today and purchase this weeekend.
