Default Help!! Vsc& Trac Off Lights On!!

Has anyone seen this? The VSC light and the TRAC OFF light are on along with the check engine light. I read the manual and it told me what it meant but does any know how I can check or fix it my self without going to the dealer to get it fixed? Is there a fuse that needs to be changed or something quick like that? If anyone hase any comments please help. Thank you in advanced.

Don't worry, 95% chance its a glitch that means nothing. Here's what to expect:

First, check to see if the GAS CAP is completely tight as this is usually the cause. If its loose, tighten it till it clicks, turn the car off, start it, drive the car for 15 minutes or so, turn it off, back on again and by that time it should turn off.

If its not the gas cap, its usually a sensor. Either the Oxygen sensor or a TPS sensor. If you're lucky, the light will go off and wont return.

The oxygen sensors tend to act up if you use cheap gas or those "miracle fuel system cleaners"

If the problem doesn't go away, take it to the dealer.

FYI: Anytime the check engine light goes on, the Trac off and the VSC lights go on as well. Its a default so nothing is wrong with trac or vsc, its just an emmisions related glitch.

The same thing happened to me last year--it was simply low brake fluid. I had my 30,000 mile service done the previous week and they did not fill the brake fluid quite up to the full line. Good luck--I hope it is nothing more serious.

ok. i checked on all sensors and everything was in tact. so i checked all fuses and none blown. then i reset the ecu and that took care of it so far. i drove it around for a few minutes and its still all good. hopefully it stays that way. we'll find out sooner or later.
Thanks for all the input it helps take some of the stress away.

Welp that worked for a few minutes then the lights came back on. We'll see tomorrow we have an appointment at Lexus.
Thanks again for all the replies

If it's not the gas cap as suggested above, the #2 cause of check engine light is the vaccuum hose behind the air cleaner box. This hose attaches to the top of the air cleaner box and runs down behind it where it connects to a metal tube. When a owner (or quick lube place) checks the air cleaner they lift up on the top of the box pulling the black hose off the metal tube.
If thats not it the next thing it could be is dirty MAF sensor. This is located in the air cleaner box and you can get directions for cleaning it by doing a search on this forum. After that it starts to look like one of the air flow sensors in the exhaust which is not an easy DIY procedure like the others.
