roll up windows & sunroof w/ key
i know we can use the key to roll down all the windows and open sunroof remotely. how can i roll them back up remotely???

Sorry, I couldn't resist. This is a frequent question here and it seems to be one of those issues that Lexus has not seen fit to "fix". It sure would be handy for closing windows/moonroof from indoors when it starts to rain or in the evening to be sure you've buttoned everything up for the night. I wonder why this is not available? Ideas?

The only way to get them all up and sunroof closed is put the key in the door lock and turn it to lock and hold the key in that position, they all will close! I wish you could hold the lock buttion on the remote and they all would go up......Is that to hard to ask

I suppose they didn't implement the lock button hold because of those "Darwin-challenged" parents who leave their babies inside the vehicle in the summer.

Lock and load!
Like the 330, just press the unlock button and hold. In about 2-3 seconds the windows will start down, followed by the moonroof. If you release the button, all activity stops.
I was at a wedding, waiting for members of the wedding party to head for the reception a couple years ago, when I decided to roll the windows down to cool off the car before my passengers arrived. Since I was standing a good distance away, I didn't hear the chirp as the locks reset themselves 30 seconds later. When I got to the car with my guests, I tugged at the front passenger's side door - only to find it locked. Without thinking, I reached inside through the open window to pull the interior handle, opening the door - or so I thought.
Don't try this at home, kids - I managed to simultaneously set off the alarm and drop my keys, which promptly skittered under the car. I'm now crawling under my car in a good suit, reaching for the keys while the horn blares insistantly . . . as the wedding party exits the church.
Smooth move.
Well, at least I found out the alarm works . . .
