Default Fuel Mileage Drops

A few weeks ago I had my 2001 RX in for service and they reset the ECU in the hopes of correcting a minor hesitation problem. The reset worked and the car is running great. HOWEVER the fuel mileage has now dropped. Before the reset I was getting 17.8 around town, now I am getting 15.7 around town. I took it back to the dealer and they checked for ecu codes and all was clear. Any advice or suggestions to get the fuel mileage back up? Thanks

Im thinking the computer is going to have to re-learn your driving over and just overall get acustomed to everything again since the puter was reset!! how long since your puter reset......a tank, half tank??? I really doubt anything is weron with it

I had a similar situation a few months ago. I never checked the miles/gallon (mpg) manually, but relied on the RX's display figures. My previous mpg numbers were always higher than those reported by others on this forum. My guess is that the previous sensor might have been giving me numbers that were higher than actual. Comments please.
