Please Help!...I have a stuck sunroof
Last night I had my roof "popped" up, i went to close it and it came down half way then popped right back up again. it continues to do this and will not close. Has anyone experienced this ? and what is the solution ?

Out of Warranty
Looks like you've engaged "nanny" mode . . .
Check to be sure the sunroof mechanism isn't binding on a piece of foreign material in the gasket area, causing it to reverse. Like your windows, if the roof panel "detects" a foreign object, such as a hand, in its path, it will open. This detection is done by monitoring the motor current - if the sunroof motor draws too much while closing, it will open as a safety measure.
With the roof tilted open, inspect the mechanism carefully. The safety "logic" can be fooled by a stick, a piece of gravel, etc. rather than human flesh.
It is also possible that the struts visible on either side of the open roof need lubrication, causing the mechanism to bind, throwing the motor into reverse. A little spray lube, preferably dry silicon (to protect the rubber seal should you get a little overspray) should restore normal operation. Apply and try to open and close the roof several times to work it into the joints.
This is a new one to me, but we're always learning. Anyone ever had this situation?

I'm not sure what exactly happened, but i used the key in the door to close the sunroof and it worked just fine all back to normal. it was almost like it got out of sync or something?
