Default My WOT driving style shouldnt be copied....

Ok, after almost 3 years of owning my ride, my gas mileage never gets better than 240 miles per tank and it usually is about 200 miles per tank. And today after looking around my tires, i realize my bat out of hell driving style might be contributing to my rapid tire wear. My 19s have a little more than 20k miles on it and now its getting close to the wear indicator!! I think it will last maybe another 5k miles before it goes bald!! Thats 25k miles for tire life! Which i never get that low on a passenger car tire. My previous 4 door cars all had non-stock, high performance tires and they last atleast 40k miles. Keep in mind, my other car is a 911 turbo and i be lucky to get 20k miles on a tire, but none of my 4 doors ever get such low tread life. I admit i take corners at screeching speeds which is still not at the limit of the vehicle (to do so is dangerous to others at public roads). One thing is comforting about it, its that tire wear is evenly distributed across all 4 tires. Theres is no uneven wear or anything. So i better drive slower and take corners like a grandma if i like to save gas or tires. But thats NOT the way i like to roll !!!!!

only 240 miles per tank?

My current tank is about 3/4 empty and the computer estimates there will be about 345 miles on the tank if I drive it till 0. (I usually do)

This has been mostly city driving with the a/c turned off.

my SC400 equipped with 275/35/18 Pirelli P7000 SS only lasted me 12k miles and 15k miles (2 sets of rears). 25k for low profile tires is not bad at all. It's actually great!

Yep, 25K miles on a set of low profile tires is not bad at all.

Why premium? 87 octane works fine. Can't go fast in the rush hour traffic anyway. 200 miles per tank.... must be stop and go I guess.

I really dont know why it's so expensive. It just suddenly went up like 2 or 3 weeks ago. My aunt has a 2001 RX 300 and she uses Octane 87 ever since she first got her car. Her engine sounds really loud and doesnt shift smoothly like mine, even though my car is older which is a 2000 RX. Thas why I'm scared and dont want my car to end up like hers. I always have all my 5K interval service done at lexus and she has too. So this is why I conclude that maybe the loud engine might be the usage of low octane in which i fear for and only stick to 91 octane. i seriously never filled anything below 91 octane before. But seriously is that the real reason to why my aunts car is like that because of the gas she used?

Don't know. My engine has always been very quiet though. It's a 2002 bought new.
