I am thinking about replacing my 99 GS300 with a newer RX300. I need something to haul stuff (new house and all)
The GS gets about 25 mpg and I do about 170 miles per day, 90% highway.
What kind of mileage can I expect out of the RX300?
Thanks...

I get 16-17, about 50/50 city/hwy ,but A/C is always on here in So Cal.
The EPA has a AWESOME web site that lets you compare all the models, and customize it to gas prices in the area. I think they said the RX will cost 1500+ a year to operate at 12,000miles a year.

One thing to know about the RX300 is it is geared fairly low. This gives decent mileage around town, country roads and lower highway speeds. If you travel at faster highway speeds the mileage really starts to drop off due to the low gearing.

I live in the northeast, and AC is on all summer. Local driving I'm getting 17 mpg average, highway 21 to 22 tops. I have AWD and always use premium gas. I've also upgraded tires to 235-70x16 so that has killed it about 1 mpg on both.
