Angry

I moved home for summer today from college and in all the mess of moving stuff home a scratch found its way onto my rear bumper! This makes me o-so-angry. I suppose now I will have to buy the rear bumper pad that comes on the 2001 RX's as well as some touch-up paint for future use on any other places. My poor baby!!

What I want to ask is if anyone can suggest a place to get one and what the price would be. I think it is about $100 (absurd, i know) at the dealer. I just e-mailed irontoad to find out if they sell one. Thanks for any input.

unfortunantly this is a small spot on the bumper which is made of a plastic type material and it black underneath. The paint is chipped off and i don't think there is anyway to buff it out. Thanks for the info though, i am going to the auto-parts store and will check that stuff out for future use - always need to keep something like that around.

I use Blue Coral Scratch Remover.. It also works wonders. I used it on a chip on my sisters VW. It didnt
clear it up but definitely improved the look. Hope this helps.

You can get the bumper protector much cheaper from a Toyota dealership. It is the exact same one they sell for Toyota Sienna van for approx $30. It doesn't have the lexus "L" on it.

oh well, i have already ordered and installed the one from Lexus - it costs me about $70, but I love the way it looks and like the lexus writing on it. Thanks for the help though.
