Warped Rotor Fixed (and squeaking belt)
FWIW, if your RX300 has warped rotors and is still under warranty. Don't live with it. Go to your dealer and get it fixed for free.
I took my RX300 in and prepared to fight the service advisor on this one, but that wasn't necessary. The service advisor simply told me that it'd be covered under warranty without me asking, simple enough. They replaced the rotors and pads. It had some faint screeching brake noise on the first day, but gone thereafter. The new pads do make tons of brake dust. It's been a week and I still have to wipe my wheels on a daily basis. The new rotors appear thicker than the old one, but I don't have before-and-after photo. Braking is smooth and silent.
They also checked my noisy belt. They tightened the bolts near the alternator, that took care of it.
