I went to close my 1999 moonroof and it went forward a couple of inches and acted like something is stuck and went back. I can force it shut a few inches at a time and have it completely closed now. It will only tilt up slightly then come back down. the imediate problem is it wont raise high enough to seal properly.
It will retract in 2 or 3 inch increments and then I have to force it shut again.

Something similar happened this summer when it was stuck
in "Tilt Up" and I had to force it down. But somehow it fixed its self.

Has anyone had this problem and how do I fix it?

 

sounds to me like a faulty switch or a bad motor...
