Parula,

This is a new product made by Mobil. Is called Mobil 5000. It is "NOT" synthetic oil. It's got some cleaning additive.

Mobil Clean 5000
Want a conventional oil that protects for today's longer oil change intervals? No problem. With Mobil Clean 5000, you’ll get 16 percent more cleaning agents than our conventional oil, Mobil Clean (available in installed facilities only). Extra cleaning power that helps your engine run cleaner than with other conventional oils — even with today’s longer oil change intervals. In fact, Mobil Clean 5000 is guaranteed to provide excellent performance and protection for all car engines for up to 5,000 miles of normal consumer driving.

Here is their website....

Default Amsoil

Been using AMSOIL since 1978 & I was the 1st one in my area to try it too. Never had a engine problem due to using it either.

The only way to go if you want to save time & $$$.

How often do you change your oil Xfire? I have been extremely happy with the switch from Mobil 1 to Amsoil myself.

Default Amsoil

To be honest I change the oil & filter after 1year & the Amsoil oil filter at 6 months. Only lose 1/2 qt. when I only change the filter at the 6 month time.
Amsoil says up to 25K per year but I have never put on that much in one year. On our Mustang COBRA I change once a year & that is only 3-4K per year.

Default HP vs. MPG

How can one really know? I do believe I get better millage though. I have gotten better MPG on all my other vehicles over the years. I figure from 5 - 10% as if there is less friction, there is less heat & there has to be better MPG.

PLUS- synthetics are USA made, no petrolium needed. Guess any little bet must help.

Oh, BTW - speaking of Mobil1 oil, there is a very good (and pretty quiet) sale going on for Mobil 1oil.

Go to Pep Boys and stop and the cashier counter on the way in. Ask to buy a 2005 PeP Boys calander (they're $1). Inside, there are coupons for all kinds of stuff - but there's one coupon for Mobil 1: Buy 3 Get 3 Free. A quart (at least for me) is $5.40, so $5.4 X 3 = $16.20. Save $16.20 for spending a buck!

That's the best price I've seen for Mobil 1 and I belong to Sam's Club too!

I'd advise you to hurry in to get the calander b/c they probably won't be around much longer. I bought 6 calanders when I was there. The coupons are good thru '05.
