Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

I'm installing navigtion system into my RX300 which has to be connected to the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)

People are saying it the violet/white wire. Where is it located on a 1999 rx-300? Is it connected to the main ECU or the cruise control?

By the way where are people tapping for the the reverse light (Tail end of the car)? or at the shifter? and the illumination

Please provide wire color and location if known

I did this a few years back. Look under the glove box or front pass kick plate.

FYI..It is Purple with a white on the CCM located right behind the fuse box on the driverside.
