I need a replacement power antenna mast. The motor works but the antenna doesn't fully retract. I went to the dealer and they want 58 bux. Any know where I can get a better priced replacement?

After playing with Ham Radio for 30 years I have found that when replacing motorized antennas, the Original Manufacturers unit is often the easiest, most cost effective thing to do. Most decent after market units will run 35.oo anyway, I doubt the difference is worth the time, hassle or effort.

Is the mast damaged? Sometimes they just need to be cleaned/lubricated. Have you tried that?

it's definitely bent.. I tried to bend it back but it is still not straight enough to fully retract.

Yul have 2 prchase the mast from Lexus. As for intalation it's easy. Post a thread when you get one and I'll give u directions. Don't even think about installing an aftermarket ant. assy. The factory one is far suprior.

thanks to all for the advice.. i purchased a Lexus mast from lexuspartsmall.com.

I got it for 41.86. list is 53. plus 7 for shipping. I also got the rear bumper protector so the 7 for shipping covered both items.

The local Lexus dealer wanted 58 plus tax. 5 over list. Didn't I pay enough for the car the first time around

If anyone needs a Lexus part and lexuspartsmall.com doesn't list it on the web page, send a request for price. They responded the next day and were very nice when I called them on the phone.
