The original Dragon Intake that I bought did not fit at tall on my RX, not sure if bad design, but I actually lost time in the 1/4 mile with it. Still I kept the metal pipe with sensor attachment that it came from and attached a K&N cone filter. I should update my mods below as I recently purchased a Mexican-made K&N clone fitler called Matrix. Looks like the K&N filter, but has wire mesh on the front of the cone. Similar to the secret intake you are referring to, and this bumped up my times by .3 seconds. You just have to keep the filter very clean.

I would also recommend a metal shield that would block the hot air from the one side of the air filter.

I had placed an order for a cold air box from Weapon-R, but had been back ordered almost 6 months so I cancelled.

Short ram intakes suck because you just stuff heated up air from the hot engine bay through a foam filter and a metal tube. Metal tube happens to be better heat conductor than plastic and foam filter breaks down over time - I am sure you know where those pieces are going to...

sonuds like a waste of money, so far i have the k&n filter and i' happy with how its performed since i got it, i really dont want a loud engine roar from a intake unless its gunna jump up my speed noticably, from what i've read though it seems the intake is not worth the hassle....what about exhaust?? is that rmm the way to go?? or are there other reccomendations?? where can i get the rmm for a good price anyone? thanks

You can try to install a CAI air horn with K&N drop in filter. I have a DIY w/ pics
CAI Air Horn
Muffler give you better sound but minimal gain. 5Zigen used to make a cat back steeless exhaust system but discountinue to do so.
