Timing belt RX300
#16
When I get to 90k I'll just do the belt and pump and not fuss about the cost.
Flip, I thought I had seen reasonably-well documented posts in these forums here indicating that the 300 engine is noninterference??

RX300 2001 392,000 miles
My RX300 2001 timing belt broke last week of July (2015) with 392,000 miles 1 mile from home. My wife and I returned from a trip with no problems (Birmingham / Orlando 1000+ RT). Mostly 75 mph with trip back in 95+ heat. Car performed great whole trip. The car had 40,000 mi. when bought about 2002. I found used engine with 85k miles for $1200 and labor is $800 plus about $100 for parts. In hindsight I should have changed that timing belt before 392K miles

Wow, 390,000 on the original timing belt! Nice, think you have set a record!
I'm getting nervous with "only" 150k miles on the original timing belt in my Sienna, and it doesn't even have an interference engine.
