how many miles per tank on 00 rx300
#4
the 00 RX300 4WD has a 17.2 gallon tank. Assuming a usable volume of about 15 gallons (you should never go all the way empty). We have usually averaged about 285 miles, averaging about 19 mpg on the car, around town.
Over the road, I usually get about 22 or 23 mpg on a trip. Splitting the difference, that 15 gallons will get you about 335 miles.
This has always been frustrating for me, as I have been driving a Chrysler Minivan, getting 22 mpg, but with a 20 gallon tank, so when the other car has had to stop for gas, I am just below 1/2 tank.
The 01 through 03 has a 19.8 gallon tank. Almost three more gallons, so about 60-70 more miles. Much more reasonable.

We get 235 miles (380 km) per tank - that is until the reserve light comes on, then just drive another 15 miles or so and fill tank.
With a/c on and 60% highway driving.. (on premium fuel)
I have figured the reserve is about 12 litres (3.17 us gallons) and no fear of getting stranded on side of road.
