Silverstone
Hi there everyone, i'm hoping that one of you more educated lexus lovers may be able to help me out. My wife and I are buying a 2001 Lexus RX300. We are new to the Lexus world altogether so i'm not very up on things. This peticular model we are buying appears to be a limited edition model, it has the honycomb type grill, and on the rear bumper there is a small logo that states "SilverStone". My question is this, what significance is the "Silverstone" name. I've searched hi and low on the net and havn't been able to find anything on the subject. If anyone out there has any insight on the subject i would appreciate some help.. Thanks in advance

That's close to the name "Silversport", for which you'll find a bunch of posts by searching the forum. That was a special version of the RX300 in 2001, sort of like a Coach Edition or an RX330 Thundercloud.
The main features of the Silversport are a sport-tuned suspension, distinctive grille, silver roof rack, perforated leather seats, and aluminum interior accents instead of wood.
"Silverstone" doesn't ring a bell, at least not in the context of a Lexus factory product.
