Drive line vibration
Got a question,
I have just driven my dads 99' RX300 AWD and from a start, if you get on the gas a decent amount you feel like a shutter going through the whole car. Once you get going the shudder goes away?
Its just happens when you go from a stop? ANyone have knowledge of this and what the fix is if any?

One thing you might want a mechanic to take a look at is the enigne mounts. There is a device just to the left of the front catalytic converter that uses exhaust, an active engine mount that can fail and sometimes cause problems (and a loud noise).
Toyota (I have no Lexus dealer down here) claimed this part was about to go recently. I don't have any vibration but I have heard of a few that do, but it was caused by the solid mounts.
