no ipod integration for rx300 prior to 2001 model
this is the response i got from vais tech 
"Unfortunately but unit for this particular vehicle will not be available. On the RX 300 availability starts with year 2001, and for vehicles with Navigation only."

. You can find both on ebay for under $1000. Only problem is your gonna spend money on a custom install.

quickest way (but not really that great). maybe if there's a station that REALLY has NO SIGNAL, then maybe it will work great. 
get a FM modulator or FM transmitter.
