Default Buying parts/accessories online

I was looking for parts and accessories online and read about www.irontoad.com in a forum. Logged on and noticed some accessories are 1/2 the price of what the dealer quoted me. Has anyone had any problems/success with this merchant or any other "discount" online parts merchants? Thinking about ordering about $150 worth of stuff. Also, how often do you change the Interior AC Filter?

I've purchased filters and wiper blades from Irontoad for several years and have been very satisfied. They're part of a Lexus dealership up in Pennsylvania.

I change the interior A/C filter on my 2002 RX300 every 18 months (which is about 16K-mi) and I feel it really needs it at that point. The engine air filter was in much better shape at the 2-year point than my A/C filter is at the 18 month point. I'm tempted to replace the A/C filter every year. My mother's 2002 ES300 A/C filter was filled with over a pint of small nuts from a nearby tree the last time I changed it. I don't know if an animal was nesting there or what. I asked the dealer if that was normal and they said they've sometimes removed dead rats!

Question Burned out drive indicator light

Thanks for the advice. I ordered $160 worth today. I have seen other sites where people asked about their drive indicator light being burned out. It was amazing how many people had the same problem. Never stated what type of bulb it was, just how to replace it. Dealer says it's an $18 bulb, which seems excessive. Any ideas?

I think a word search on this site would yield results. I've read threads about this in the past year. One interesting idea I've read is to just switch the bulb with the "1" or "2" lower gear indicators, which most people never use. You're right, $18 seems excessive to me too.

Again, thanks for the advice. Switching bulbs should take care of it.
