Same reason that people mod cars and trucks- customization of individuals' needs. Most people, especially women, would not like to see others wearing the exact outfit. For sure, no one (except homeless) would never even think about wearing same clothing day after day. But when it comes to cars, most of us just accept what automakers' interior and exterior designs for the entire period of ownership.

I understand customization...just not sure why TT's on an SUV. Increasing HP on a car that has limited stability.

I guess to each their own. IMHO, as the HP increases, brake & suspension upgrades should go hand-in-hand with the power.

Ask and you shall receive. I have researched and found out that Rotora has two BBK for RX300. The following is 356mm, two piece, SS lines, and 6 piston for the front axel. Do a search, coilover is discussed many time on this forum.

Always a good idea. BTW although drilled & slotted are very popular, drilled is not recommended for high-performance brakes.

Suspension & brakes are a pet-peeve of mine. I see way too many guys build-up HP without considering other facets of the car.

Here is my brake set-ups...Stage III Dilusi Racing brakes...

Nice setup, I think we have something in common Nice Wilwood. Rotora BBK has the choice of slotted or cross-drill slotted. Cross-drilled looks good, if they are cast, not drilled, they should be OK.

RBK084.01

We've been discussing twin turbo...but in the midst...I forgot all about the reason that when I finally get around to my own turbo project on my RX it will be single turbo to get more power. The twin turbo sounds snazzy but in reality it would not do as much for me in a 1/4 mile track situation as with one giant turbo.

I have a buddy with a twin turbo RX7 who races up at my track. He adjusts the computer before racing so that the two turbos will act like one turbo to get even more power. In an autocross situation, he leaves it on twin.

Take another look at the Squires Turbo System idea. This is what I am favoring. The only issue might be squeezing in the return pipe without keeping it to low to the ground.

My plan is to still do some more modification work before I attempt this (trying to squeeze as much hp out first).

As far as wheels...I like the top ones. I want to get Racing Hart rims.

Lexion rims are great looking and have the "bling bling" factor with chrome plating. I believe they are cast two piece, if you prefer bigger rims, more likely they will hurt both acceleration and braking due to added unsprung weight. Lexmex is right, Racing Hart has a line of forged rims so you will get lighter and stronger. I am going to pick up a set of SSR Competition 18x7.5 this weekend, they are also forged @ 15.4lbs per. Stock 16 inch is cast and about 26 lbs. So even with bigger rims, I saved over 10 lbs per rim. The weight you save will apply to the entire RPM band during acceleration and braking. I don't know how much weight these Lexion rims, perhpas you may want to research before buying.
