automatic window problem

i got a 99 rx300 and when i shut my car off the windows will automatically go down about 1/4 of the way, its a real pain cuz i have to put the key back in nand put them all back up. also After i start the car and I put my foot on the break the doors automatically lock which they never did b4. This all started when my battery died and I needed a boost. I;ve trie disconnecting the battery for 1/2 hour to reset anything but that didnt go good. anyways does anyone know what it could be or how I can fix this crap?? thanks

Lexus vehicles can be personalized ... does that remind you of a comercial ... and it called
CBest setting. Visit your Lexus dealer and they can do it for you. When you purchase the vehicle the
service is complementary. Cant say if you will be charged or not .. may be not if some other service
is being performed.
Now for maybe bad news ... I said maybe .. these setting are stored in the ecu by a process called flashing. There is a small chance that when you jump started the memory got fried. The only way to test it out would be to let the dealership reprogram it.
I hope it is just the stored value and not the permanent failure for you.

well the dealership said they would probably have to reprogram it and its guna cost me 55$ plus tax to get it done, are there any other places other than the dealership who can do it?? for alot less than that??

It seems like the delarship is sticking you with their minimum labor charge. Enquire again as the task should not take more than 10minutes. Also check with another dealership. In case it is mimimum labor charge, may be you can and combine it with another service.
