I'm looking to surprise the wife with a new wood kit for her RX300. Quality is more important than price.
Can anyone comment on Sherwood dash vs. B&I in terms of color match, qality, etc.? I'm leanin toward the Sherwood dash kit.....
Thanks.

I was also interested in a dash kit. I found that www.wooddashexperts.com offers an OEM dash kit with premium wood for $212 for the 98-02 RX. I would also like to hear anyone's experience with doing a dash kit and their results. Any pictures? Since there is an OEM kit does that mean that if you got that as a factory installed option, Lexus simply is putting overlays on top? The Sherwood kits also seem very popular as you mentioned.
Can anyone also comment on how these are made with real wood?
Thanks

I went with the Joshua Tree kit. I ended up removing the two pieces that go near the central air vents. The color was a little off from the OEM below and the pieces that go around the security flashing red light to the left of the steering wheel and the area around the ignition did not match up right. Other than that, everything was okay. It did not quite match up on the wood if you placed them side-by-side.

Only bit of advice if you are interested in doing the add-on, be very sure you want it. If you dig through old posts, there is a group of folks who disliked the change and were looking for ways to remove the ovelays. [The issue has not been between the plain vs wood finish, it was mostly with the grain/shade of the overlay]
Think twice.
