I recently had a set of 4 Wagner Thermoquiet brakes installed on my '00 RX300. From day 1 the brakes had a loud very irritating squeak. My shop told me to wait for about 1000 miles and see if the condition improves. It did by only shrilly squeaking when the brakes were cold rather than all the time. The shop replaced the front pads with OEM Toyota pads and the squeak appears to be gone. I'll confirm it after a few more miles.
So word of caution, beware of Wagner Thermoquiet pads on the front of your RX.

That's what happens when they're installed incorrectly, don't have a descent anti-squeak, or the driver puts the brakes through heat changes too quickly while the equipment is new pads(100 miles) rotors(1000 miles).
Take your pads off & apply anti-squeak. CRC makes a very good one. Shouldn't take you an hour to do. You'll need a 14mm wrench/socket, and a C-clamp.

Most brands get noisy in the cold when you don't turn the rotors. Additionally, some anti-squeel grease or brake caliper RTV on the shims and pad backs seem to help for a while. Basic four wheel disk job, including replacing the fluid and bleeding. Lexus does not remove the rotor to turn a new surface on both sides. It is done on the auto.

Unless brake rotors are causing vibrations, it is not wise to cut them because less metal means less ability to store thermal energy. A cut rotor is more likely to "warp" than a uncut one.
