I have a car pc I am working on and the power supply needs 12V constant, 12V switched and Ground. Where in the front of the car is the easiest to get these wires and what color are they? Thanks a million in advance

The cigarette lighter is a switched 12v, there are only two wires, one red and one white witha black stripe.

I would just put a multi meter onto red wires with your meter black wire tourched to the steel chassis until you find 12v with the ignition off. Or you can run a wire to the fuse panel behind the driver side fuse box

Ok that may work but for constant ground I want to hook it straight to the battery. Does anyone know a good place in the firewall to pass a wire through?

I belive that there is a sizeable rubber grommet on the fire wall driver side.
