Hi again
On our test drive last Saturday, I was in the back seat while my wife drove. We always test a car without the stereo to listen for road noise, etc.
I asked the salesman to turn on the radio and was amazed at the full, wonderful sound that filled the cabin! This was at a low reasonable volume level, as well. I am a musicain and have a good ear and am not usually impressed with any factory sound. I never did hear it in the front seat and wanted to ask if my impression in the back was accurate?
thx!

My last RX which was a 99 had a problem with the factory amp. if you keep the radio too loud the factory amp overheats and cuts off. I had that problem for the longest time intill I had the guys from the Sound Factory take it out and put in all Rockford Fosgate. Then the sound system was no joke.....

I've heard that the optional Nakamichi sound system on the RX 300 does not sound any better than the standard premium sound system. In fact, I've heard some say that it actually sounds a little worse. Is this true??. I'd like to hear from owners who've experienced both units.
Thanks!

The factory stereo does sound good but it suffers from too little power. I guess in about another two years when I get tired of the factory system, I'll replace everything with Dynaudio. We are already looking into one of the video screens that hang from the ceiling and a portable DVD player.
