When I get back to sea level, I am going to experiment with adding water. Over the weekend, I was talking to a guy while getting an alignment and commented that he has literally seen the water go right out of the system in several cars within 3 days of driving to work and back here in Mexico City.

I figure with the other cooling mods that I did, I do not have much to worry about and the temperature gauge checks out on this.

Lexmex, speaking of gear indicator, did you ever noticed that the techometer is far away from it? From the your pictured angel, there is no way to tell what gear AND rpm you are on with a single glance. If one wants to shift from 2 to D at 6000rpm, he has to swing his head left and right constantly
Anyone can tell me why Toyota put gear indicator with temperature and fuel level?

That is so true. I also wonder why we do not get a battery voltage indicator.

There have been a few times going up hills back before my RX mods that I had to actually look when I switched from 2 to D back at RPM as I did not want a problem with a tranny.

Another thing that I lived from my 1990 BMW 325i was the range in miles based on fuel in the tank. When you are out in the boonies in Mexico, you need more than hope when that Pemex station you thought was just over the mountain turns out to be 'just over the rainbow'.

In the picture below, you can also see a piece of the wood trim kit.
