Hello all. My wife has a 2001 RX300. Yesterday, when putting the key into the ignition, we heard a buzzing sound coming from the engine. Does not require turning the key to hear the buzz. I have seen where others have had this issue, but am not sure if it is truly a problem or not. Have you had any other problems relating to this mysterious noise? Engine, starter, connections?? Have you been able to continue to operate the car without service?
Any info would be appreciated!!
Many thanks.

RX recognizes that you are intending to turn the engine on and thus all sorts of servos/pumps/air-divertors etc get energized. The whirring etc is a good sign.
I would pay attention to all all gauges and warning lights as you turn the key to 'on/run'. This is where lots of folks just spin the key and go.

I had the same thing happen on my '02 when I turned the key all the way on without starting. I was testing my XM radio when I noticed it. I've heard that other have heard it too.
