1999 rx300 navagation
I have a 1999 RX300. It currently does not have a navagation unit. Is it possible for an install of a navagation unit for the RX. An aftermarket or can another year Lexus RX unit work for me?
Anyone have any pictures or reccomendations for RX300 Navagation?
Thank

Unfortunately, you can't put a factory nav system in to the car. Even if you had a 2001 or later (when nav became an option), it's something that has to be factory-installed. It's too complex to try to install after the car is built.
Aftermarket nav systems have improved a lot in the last couple of years. Garmin, Magellan, and TomTom all offer good solutions. You can search the forum for this subject, too, and get more ideas.

The aftermarket stuff is the better bet. I made a homemade clamp with suction cups so that I can use my Garmin eMap. I think Alpine and Clarion make extremely good products. If I had to get new one, the Garmin Streetpilot series.
