Tire question
My 04 RX is approaching 30,000 miles of hard daily commute driving in the Philadelphia area.
Commute is approx 35 miles each way, mostly interstate.
What are the best possible tires, when the change has to be made. price no object, ride and safety being prime considerations.

See www.tirerack.com for tons of user ratings of tires.
Last I looked the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza was the highest rated in every category.

leot, I just purchased an '02 RX300 and my very first step was going to be to replace the tires with Michelin Cross Terrains because that is the most important and often overlooked safety feautre on a vehicle. However, the RX I bought came with a new set of those Dueler H/L Alenza's mounted on the truck, and I must say they are a really nice tire. I've driven 3 others during test drives and none of them seemed to be as controlled, quiet and sure footed as this truck is which makes me believe that the tires have a lot to do with that. The wife has been driving the RX most of the time, and even she has commented on how nice the truck rides and handles on these tires. So I do reccomend them from a current users viewpoint and have absolutely no thoughts of changing them out at this point. However, just make sure that as you look at the ratings on Tirerack, that you also notice that the #1 rated Alenza has about 800,000 miles of reviews compared to something like 26 million miles for the Michelin Cross Terrains. Just saying that with 32 times the amount of miles on them, those Michelins are right behind, so I think either of those 2 tires would be a good bet. I also happened to be talking to the tire guy at BJ's Wholesale Club a few weeks back and those Michelins as well as all the other tires they carry will be on sale in a couple weeks. So that might be a good time for an upgrade since they offer a very nice tire service package for the money there. But I'll definitely be giving the Alenza's a thumbs up after I get a few more months on them.
