We just took a long trip, and agree that our suspension is too soft. There's too much float and roll. Tirerack tells me that Eibach will have a new spring kit out for the RX300 next month. Does anyone know anything about this or any other suspension upgrade for this car? Thanks.

Soft ride
My friend, the soft ride in the RX300 is the beauty of the RX. It is like riding in a car. Any other SUV that I have owned or rode in is like riding in a truck. Our other SUV is a BMW X5, a very nice vechicle all around, which we traded in an Acura MDX to get, but ride wise it's not a Lexus.Prior to that I had two Olds Bravada, not a terrible ride but you knew it was a truck. Going on vacation in the Rx IS joy, the luxury and the smooth ride. Why on earth would you want to stiffen it?

Don't worry, the next thing you know they'll want to lower it and put ground effects on it...
You hit the nail right on the head Billyboy.
The best investment one can make in their Rex without the luxury ride suffering is to invest in a set of Michelin Cross Terains. The stiffer sidewall will great improve handing and tracking.
The GY Integricraps that come with the Rex are a joke. Lexus must have been on drugs when they thought that one up.

Michelin CrossTerrains, $124 each from TireRack. They'll dropship anywhere you want (such as the dealer). You can order your stock size but apparently 235s will fit without difficulty also. This very slight change in diameter (remember that your aspect ratio is a percentage of your tire width, so increasing tire width also increases sidewall height and therefore wheel/tire diameter) will not make a significant difference in your speedometer/odometer readings.
Put 'em on, you'll think Lexus revised your suspension without your knowledge. Worth every damn penny.
BTW, this is merely a replacement tire; no modifications necessary.
